This Friday we read
Horton Hears A Who by Dr. Seuss. The children made clovers, like the one in the story. We made pom poms by wrapping yarn around a piece of cardboard, then slipping the yarn off, and tieing the yarn together with a small piece of yarn. Then we used our scissors to cut the loops, which made a pom pom! Then we wrapped half a pipe cleaner around the pom pom. We then put out clover inside the egg we made last time we had class. So they had something from each Horton book. When we were done the clovers we made book marks out of large craft sticks. They had the choice of coloring them with markers, gluing seguins and sparkles on them, or both. We had water color paints and wax sticks out at the easels and Model Magic dough out to mold with. We also had the water table out. We had a great class.
